These pictures were taken during the 11th annual festival of German song. The German culture perhaps better than most, has through song, expressed most beautifully the German's deep and fervent love of God and homeland. From plaintive folk songs written by long-forgotten authors to acknowledged masterpieces by Beethoven, Mozart, and many others, German choral music unashamedly lays bare the German's soul, and in so doing touches our spirit and makes it soar. Our guests who came to listen and enjoy are the ones who give our singers the inspiration to offer their songs with heartfelt joy.Following are the pictures of some of the groups and some of the guests for this festival. Due to lighting, no pictures are available of some of the group flags, the welcome by the city mayor, or any of the master of cermonies - Bob Owens. I hope you enjoy these that are available.
